Jose Moreno sits in his truck at his home in Kerman, Calif., on the morning of Sunday, June 18, 2006. Jose Moreno first came to the USA in 1984 after several year in the Mexican Army. He began working for Adolphson Family Vineyards, eventually becoming the ranch foreman for 11 years. In 2001, Jose and his wife Julie received their green cards and joined their children as U.S. citizens. Recently, the family has moved in the city of Kerman, Calif. where Alex and Mary attend high school. Jose now works as a freelance trucker. Jose Jr. works as Network administrator at the Kerman Unified School district. The second oldest, Aselly, lives in Anchoridge, Alaska: while her husband serves the U.S. military in Iraq.
